In its second season, the Nova Scotia Provincial Training Centre will focus on a membership of 8 teams who aspire to become Provincial and National champions.  The criteria for the teams selected will be primarily based on past performances at Provincial, National, International, Atlantic Curling Tour and World Curling Tour competitions.

The Provincial Training Centre will offer a number of general group sessions in the areas of Sport Psychology, Nutrition and Training & Conditioning which will be given by Sport Science experts from Canadian Sport Centre Atlantic.  In addition to those seminars, each team will undergo Fitness Testing and Evaluation by a Sport Science expert who will monitor the team throughout the year and provide a yearly plan.  Individual team sessions whether off- ice or on ice include:  Technical Development, Video Analysis – using state of the art slow motion software, General Practice, Strategy/Game Plan, Team Dynamics and Game Analysis and are offered for member teams and coaches all booked through the PTC coach.
